From July 22 - 29, 2019 the Mount Olivet Youth will be serving in Honduras. While on this mission trip our team will be partnering with local children’s homes to do two things.  The first is to fellowship and build a faith community with the children who live in these homes.  The second is to invest in small building projects that are very needed around the children’s homes.

We ask you to foremost be in prayer for our team that will be traveling to San Pedro Sula, and for all of those we will meet and interact with in Honduras. Prayer has been at the cornerstone of this mission opportunity and we are strengthened through the prayers of our family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

working with carolina cross connection (CCC)

Our mission in Honduras is to experience and share the love of Christ with kids living in Children’s Homes. We want to come alongside the kids and staff at the Homes to empower education, and spiritual development.  This ministry is an extension of what CCC is already doing, and where God is already working  as we acknowledge God’s presence and ability to supply everything we need. At the core of CCC’s mission statement, we will simply respond to the same call: “‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people’” (Matthew 4:19). CCC desires to have an Acts 1:8 model, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

why honduras?

How did Carolina Cross Connection, a home repair ministry that started in North Carolina, start serving in Honduras? In a way similar to how they originally started in the eighties, CCC has multiple connections, relationships and conversations take place that connected them to organizations in Honduras where they have been able to partner and serve with love of Christ.

CCC has been blessed to work with many organizations in Honduras as well as several Private Children’s Homes. Much of our work in Honduras consists of bringing love and support to these kids and the adults who take care of them. We partner with the directors of the Homes to meet immediate needs as well as plan and pray to meet longterm needs. Like any other CCC week, we want to help meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
